There are 2-dimensional versions of the models in the rulebook and PDF versions of the same on the Spartan Games website so you could try using those to see how the game runs and whether you think it's worth buying the models.

I have considered picking it up before, but has already been said the lack of players was a turn off.... Just sold off all my Battle Fleet Gothic stuff and I jump back into space ship battles it will most certainly by Firestorm Armada.

Been curious about this game. I might try to get a decent painted fleet from ebay to get the odd game or 2. BFG is still my main love though :)

I really like the models so I don't mind if I grab the models and don't like the game, I can just use the models for eclipse. However I know the game is really similar to D-Wars which I really like so I don't think I'll have any problems with it.

Orange sold me his Aquan fleet yesterday. It won't take me long to paint.

To gamers in Perth,

With the impending release of the new 2 player starter set, is it worth while getting into this gaming system at all?
The lack of active posts in this area of the forum indicates the level of interest.
