The third part is something I had overlooked until reminded by Massaen yesterday - earlier Centurions claimed "I targeted the hat and took his cybernetic eye." This was never questioned or even mentioned by TheHat, so I have to assume it is true (Can anyone contradict/confirm this?).
Failure to report a crime can be a crime
The wierdest part is TheHat never mentioned it or even said it had gone missing or that a power was gone. Items are the source of powers in this game so it's hardly something you wouldn't mention to your fellow townies - unless you couldn't draw attention to it. Unless I missed it, he still hasn't.
"The lady doth protest too much, methinks"
Which brings me to something I had noticed, way back at the beginning of the game. When everyone did their role call, some added a quote or catchphrase, but one player went gone over and above. In what struck me as over kill, he had chosen to specifically insert a photograph version of his actor where his character plays a 'goodie'

And how anxious was he to get this version out into people's minds? If you right click on the image in that post you can see it's hosted in TheHat's personal webspace.

So why all the fuss and effort? Why all the delays and discomfort around his role call? When did we actually first see the cybernetic eye?
We have a player who has contributed very little to the game, whose lynch votes have had the most casual "let's get it over with" reasons attached and who didn't vote against Aza but who's vote against Malignant was done in a way that raise suspicions about stalling a rolecall. His rolecall was a slow delayed process, and included extra effort to convince players that he was the "good terminator".
The person who accused and lead a lynch against him was killed last night. He lost an item and still hasn't admited to it going missing or complained of a power being removed - probably for good reason.
The one reason some of us considered he might be town is he finally posted a result and people think he might be a tracker, but it's 8 days in and if you look carefully you will see even he is not claiming to be a tracker - his committment to that story is so low he can't even be accused of lying or caught out. It was probably a tracker item, and since I usually get a lot of attention using it vs me was probably the best bet at the mafia who wasn't doing a kill to be seen doing something useful.
Apart from that this player who has done absolutely nothing to play like a Townie
, seriously go back and check the posts for yourselves.
I'm approaching 99% certain he's mafia, and if we don't vote him out because of 1 half-hearted power claim this late in the game we're going to look a bit foolish.
I end with a quote from a wise mafia player, "Just to get the ball rolling"
