So, after a recent purchase, I now have three different types of thunderhawk gunship models.

Yes, all three models below are exactly the same unit.

I like how the Aquila gets *smaller* as the ship gets bigger.

You are just missing the very first edition of the epic gunship - square block with a turret was the original Thunderhawk. The largest was used in 40k fighter combat game aeronautica. The imperial fighter and fighter bomber have just as many variations in size

Is the real/normal 40k thunderhawk a re-cast from chinaforge...

None of the models are 40k scale.

However, yes the largest one is from aliexpress. Forge world no longer make or sell the model.

ah ok kinda hard to tell in the pic, I have a 40k one. could be interesting to see the size difference.

I've never seen them compared, but this photo might help you guess what the scale difference would be :D

In addition to the picture Matt posted, my photos are taken with the models on a normal piece of kitchen paper towel.
