I hope those hobgoblins weren't paying too much attention to what Buck was doing up on that mountain.

They might be a tad unimpressed with their new comrade if they were :D

Probably going to run something like the following:
Chaos Warrior; Shield, Mark of Slaanesh, Charmed Shield, Shrieking BladeSpear, Luckstone, Leader
Chaos Warrior; Shield, Mark of Slaanesh, Additional Hand Weapon, Veteran: Hatred
Chaos Warrior; Shield, Mark of Slaanesh, Great Weapon, Veteran: D6 Attacks
Chaos Warrior; Shield, Mark of Slaanesh, Halberd
Chaos Warrior; Shield, Mark of Slaanesh, Sword, Veteran: Scaly Skin
Warhound

Works out that I can have a different weapon combination on every miniature which I'm stoked with. :D

I opted for Mark of Slaanesh as it fitted the idea of crusaders who were unphased by panic but well weren't insane (Khorne).
Outside of that, went for the things that looked like the most fun. :D

Looking forward to seeing what you can do with those guys Brookesy.

I've gone a totally different direction and am doing something like this:

Knight (leader)
Knight with great weapon
Handgunner x 2
Free Company x 4
Greatsword

I've got a box of North Star pirates that I've been itching to paint, and the 16th Century-style Empire models fit nicely with them :)

I really can not decide what to work on for this.

Beastmen
Empire
Orcs and Goblins
Or undead!!

sigh

maybe I will just roll a dice and go for it

Nope - it was a significant snag. So snaggalificly snaggly in fact was the snag that I have bailed from that as my project. :(

The models have not been as conducive to modification as I had hoped they would be.

Probably going to go green, or a variant of that, instead.

That's a shame, that would have been cool! I understand that though, PP's plastic/resin stuff isn't easy to work with.

I've only got two left to paint of mine.

I was pumped about the idea, but the models... So difficult to file, so many lines and they aren't coming apart easily.

I got two models built, so I'll paint them at some point but for the effort, I wasn't going to complete the others.

Alright time for take two, and this time with pictures to indicate that I am slightly more committed than I was before to the project. :D
Instead of Orcs, Empire or Chaos, I'm now using Vampire Counts! :D

Siblings of the Damned
- Grave Guard, Heavy Armour, Great Weapon, Leader: Opal Amulet, Potion of Foolhardiness
- Crypt Horror, DOW: Boots of Unseemly Haste (Swiftstride)
- 14x Zombies, DOW: The Dashing Cloak of Heroic Renown
- Dire Wolf: DOW: Spiky Shoulder Pads (Impact Hits 1)

Background
“She loved him you know, that brother you killed,

Seeing his body, her heart chilled,

There she is now, you should have run,

No time to repent, what’s done is done,

That’s an axe in her hand, don’t ask why,

Her eyes are glowing, the end is nigh,

So cherish the call, feel the pain,

And pray that you don’t, rise again.”
