Definitely think that the Warpseer is the current pick of the litter - 4++, I10 and a Doomglaive make him a challenge beast, and the ability to drop a test-or-die template has its uses. Similarly, being able to 1-dice a S5 MM reliably is pretty tasty too. Not sure that I would pay 500pts for the privilege though...

Will be interesting to see what else appears in the book.

Apparently the corruptor also has frenzy, and the warbringer has +1A on the profile. So we might be looking at:

Warbringer - 550 points – A7 total, killing blow, multi wounds D3, re-roll death frenzy

Corruptor - 500 points – A7 total, ASF, frenzy, re-roll plague

These are starting to look rather solid. They pack a lot of options into a relatively cheap package. Skaven can have some good resistance to warmachines built in (storm banner, skiter leaping cracks call, gutter runners all spring to mind), and they give up fewer points than a greater daemon if killed.

Depending on what the armoured rat ogres end up being like and we could see some very different skaven list builds opening up.

Having now seen the pics on the GW site, I can officially say "bleah." I don't like any of them. I really wanted to like them! The worst thing its right leg. Either standing in some attempted sexy pose on a random giant rock, or apparently standing on its own glaive.

Though I found this description pretty funny:
Quote:
Verminlord Deceiver is armed with a doomstar (in the shape of the Clan Eshin rune) and a warpstiletto. It’s head wears a mask and hood to hide its features
Why would a 20 foot tall rat demon monster need to hide its features? What is it trying to get away with exactly?

Nice to see the vermin lord is on a 60mm by 100mm base (abom base turned sideways). That makes is a lot harder to hit with artilery than the 150mm by 100mm I was expecting.

well I played against the warpseer today with my orcs and gobos and not very impressed.

In saying that turn one I used NIKIT NIKIT and stole his instant death and ward orb thing, I then killed it in turn two by hitting it with a couple of doom divers and 2x magic missile 3d6 st3 hits.

The stat profile is great but stopping its awesome movement with itchy nuisance let me deal with it rather than it getting into combat with my savages.

I think the one with the deceiver with the doomstar will be the best option, also allowing to cast skitterleap on himself will be a huge pain in the ass

It will be good to see who will be the first to post pics of a Daemon of Khorne conversion.

New Thanquol and Boneripper:

Even though the pic isnt very highly detailed, im loving the absolute Skaven-ness of the model. Why does Boneripper have 4 Warpfire Throwers for hands? Because shut your fat face, that why! :P

Does anyone know if he's going to have a combined profile?

Not confirmed yet, but likely based on what we have seen of ET so far (Mortachs, Glottkin, etc).
