It is a fun game, list building is the most important part of the game to take advantage of abilities you can attach onto other puppets. You start with just one puppet and build the army as you go, primary win conditions are kill other Master or capture workbenches.

Havent had a game with the actual puppets (few games using the puppets' malifaux counterparts as stand ins though) yet (as im waiting for local stock to arrive which I have been told is soon) but full rules and all the puppet stats are available online at:

www.puppet-wars.com

You are best choosing an army across suits as each suit has its own inherint strengths and you will find abities match suits that a puppet belongs to not what they were in malifaux (eg Bad Juju is not a mask puppet but is instead a no suit puppet). Its a game that really involves looks for combinations and synergy eg Seamus' gun only causes status effects but if you upgrade him with a death marshal his gun now causes damage.

there is two ways to win in puppetwars. 1. kill the opposing masters 2. take control of all the workbenches i introduced a couple players to the game last night and they really enjoyed it :) (even tho we didn't have time to finish the game
