Sounds awesome! I'm guessing Collodi's going to be getting some much needed puppet support. I may get that Crew as well since it was the one I was considering as a Lucius alternative. :)

Knowing nothing about what Puppet Wars is meant to be, are the Puppet mini's just meant to be cute little versions of their Malifaux counterparts? I saw a couple that looked pretty cool, especially the one with the giant drill arm :)

I think you may be referring to models by another company - "Puppetswar".

To the best of my knowledge, no models have been spoiled for Wyrd's Puppet Wars yet. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that...

I've seen a picture of Painted models on display at some Con or another. The models essentially look more or less like they do on the puppet wars cards; exagerrated proportions and sausage limbs.

Also had one of the guys down at TGA trialing the game (though never did get around to playing it).

I've seen these guys from GenCon 2010.

I can see Rusty Alice, a Slurid and the Executioner in there.

I refer you to the cool mini in the middle with the drill, that being said there are several others I also find cool... including the pig :D

Yep thats some of the minis that were on display at gencon last year.

Puppet Wars is a stand alone board game produced by Wyrd. It is completely seperate from Malifaux but is still set in that world. The puppets think they are some of Malifaux's renown personalities.

Here is some artwork that I can show everyone. (Also have a look at my avatar)

Plus anyone who already has a puppet deck knows what a lot of the book 1 models look like in all their puppety goodness

I wonder... Would it be okay to use these puppet miniatures as proxy's instead of getting some of the Collodi dolls?

I'm just after an excuse of sorts to get a few of them :D

As wicked doll proxies I wouldn't have a problem personally likewise using one as Zoraidas Voodoo doll could wok with the added benefit of knowing you you have the conduit with.

Biggest thing is that you still will need the cards for the actual wicked doll models

You mentioned above that its a board game? Do you mean its a board game in the traditional sense of the word or a tabletop game just phrased that way?
