nice work mate. Personally I'd go with the Italian list as it has less cons, and the one it does have to me isn't really a big issue. Knee mortars, light tanks, smoke... all seems to fit for me.

Ok so it looks like the hall is being acquired by Pags for 2 days, allowing us to run a two day tournament if we choose to. The question is, would you guys be as keen for a two day event, or is one day more practical/preferable.

There aren't many flames of war events so the more people that can come the better.

Let me know what you guys think.

I love two day events but it is a lot harder to get people to commit to it We ran a few two day ones in 2005 and 2006 we had to cancel the 2007 one as we did not get enough players. We switched to one day comps after that.

That said the time may be rite to try again

I thought as much. With the huge player base of 40k you can afford to lose som folks, but with flames there just isn't enough of us.

If the rest are keen we may go with it, otherwise we'll just do 1 day.

One day would be my preference. Do we have tentative dates?

Tentative date is 24th or 25th of November. It's being run parallel with Scorched Earth. Final day is Enigma's call but that weekend or the weekend either side of it are what we are looking at.

As soon as we have a confirmed booking I'll post a players pack.

Army lists are already being trialled out at Pags as we are pretty enthusiastic about it. Now I just need to get onto my terrain!, and painting my ringer force. Sicilians FTW 8)

Enigma,

Interested in participating in your tournament if open to all skill levels. Reading up on the rules now and how to get an army going in 2-3 weeks time to get some practice in before the tournament in November if it is open to all. I assume we will be using 3rd Ed.

Yes of course Gosoul, there are a couple of new players from our club there, and they are practicing now too so you will be in good company. When the players pack is up, I'll let you know.
