Does anyone still play 8th edition fantasy battle. Or want to. Seems like people have gotten it into there head that the games dead, because gw no longer supports it.

After some research its seems most other countries don't feel this way and it has a strong following. Massive epic battles that I miss. I cant get into 9th age. I could possibly switch to aos. but id rather play good old fantasy.

Are there any other potential gamers out there that feel the same?

It seems to me a lot of games seem dead in the water in wa trying to find some good old 8th edition or historical games is like being on a quest to find the holy grail 🙁

And 8th was so much fun. Ive played heaps of tournies in 8th. Usually coming somewhere in the middle on the ladders. But never a dull moment.

What armies did you play. Ive got skaven and daemons. Id like to play both again.
Looking for 2000-3000pt games.

Such a shame. There was a lot of character to fantasy. Ive been looking at aos
Of late. Might give that a go. Out of pure laziness. My nurgle demons can
Be for both games instead of painting a new army.

Aos just doesn’t do it for me i wanted to go smaller in scale for bigger battles and more need for manoeuvre to give the battles a more realistic feel and warmaster is such a good rule set and warmaster ancients even better

AOS is not fantasy. It doesnt have the slow feel. But it is familiar. Like fantasy 40k
Ill give it a bash. I hear kings of war is good.
