Hello boys and girls and welcome to a new thread that is designed to get everyone up to speed each week who failed to make it to the club for one reason or another. If you have any pictures that you happen to take on each corresponding date of visit then by all means add them to the collection.

The club BattleTech league continues with a strong victory by doobleg over myself. I don't feel so bad losing if I am beat while playing on our cool club terrain which has been growing in size. Some space combat is planned just around the corner....

Lots of games of Warhammer going on today. There was a great 5000 point a side game between Beastmen and Empire forces.

It has been truly amazing to see collections grow along with everyone's painting skills. It really makes me glad we decided to start up the club so we could be a part of it. Now all I need to hope is my skill with my new camera also improves. :D

Well my camera skills are worse (as is the camera itself) but I managed to get these photos today.

Ride now. Ride now, ride to ruin and the World's ending! Death, Death, DEATH!!!!

And here's how our 1st War of the Ring game of the day finished.

Matt_Shadowlord and I played 2 WotR games today. We tried something interesting and swapped armies for the second game. Quite an eye opener for both of us and lots of fun.

Cheers.

Gearing up for Mithril Kingdoms

Image
A few games happening using the scenarios from the Mithril Kingdoms players pack. The excitement is building!

Image
Of course, there is always time for a game of warhammer.

Lots of Blood Bowl and Warmachine took place today with some excellent examples of well painted miniatures.

We also took delivery of a new fridge for the club. Just in time for summer so people can enjoy icy cold drinks and chocolates. Yummy! 8)

Mithril Kingdoms is here!

The wait is over and Mithril Kingdoms 2009 finally happened. You can read more about that here:

viewtopic.php?f=4&t=8462

However, War of the Ring was not the only big thing happening today.

How about Warhammer 5000 points of Chaos Warriors vs 5000 points of Chaos Daemons! Man, I bet you would like to see that?! Unfortunately, and I know I am going to cop oh so huge an amount of flak for this, I had no pictures of this incredible slaughterfest...

However, let's not put too much blame on me. After all, if you were there at the club that cjsheridan and I so lovingly have created for you all you would have seen it, right? Ahem....

Moving right along....

Image
Speaking of Warhammer the Lizardmen were in fine form today.

Image
Word is out that Necromunda will be starting up first thing next year. Players were lining up to get a few games in.

We also had some wicked chocolate cake. 'nough said!

You should have seen the Necromunda board during play, dead gangers everywhere and suicidal juves jumping from tall buildings....

I like to say the food was great and the game atmosphere was superb.

woo, 100 posts.

I didn't see a 5000 point fantasy battle... I did see a 4000 point game... ;)

Well, Aza wiped the floor with me, so by the time Adam came over with the camera, I think it was all done and dusted. Had some fun, and it was a noble Spawn by the name of Bob that was the last surviving WoC model, killed on the very final turn of the game...
