I was chatting with Nathan last night and I'm not sure how the remainder of the league is going to pan out for me.

I've worked out I'm in Albany for the grand finale and that seems to have destroyed my waning enthusiasm.

I haven't even assembled my next 250 let alone paint them. Nathan has kindly offered lend-lease support so it might come down to availability as work has esploded with people leaving under the latest redundancy scheme as well.

Regardless of that, thanks for organising the league Pete. It's been a lot of fun, I've met new people, painted a bunch of SS, and way over-stepped the purchase limit for new toy soldiers ;)

Sorry to hear it Dave, I hope you can come along for the 1250. It does get hard to maintain the enthusiasm for over 6 months, I only just made it to the line myself!

But heaps of us now have good sized painted forces, so we should be able to have some great themed games in the future.

Be good to have you back!

40mm round or square. If you don't have time, paper ones are ok.

Hmm...looks like I spoke too soon. Bub is teething & got his vaccination at the same time. So have to stay home tonight and help the missus before she goes mental.

Team game on 12 July!

This is a bit of fun for the end of the league.

I will give out a more thorough mission pack closer to the night, but this is the gist of it

Every player should bring 400 points, sticking to these guidelines:
--at least one infantry section, no officer is required as explained below
--only one unit from the following list: tough fighters, cavalry, flame thrower (either as a team or in a squad), Gurkhas, unit with 3 or more SMG
--only one vehicle, with a maximum armour of 7, and no flamethrower vehicles
--no weapons heavier than medium
--you can have a mortar or a howitzer, but not both
--no free units or bonus US air strike

Each player will be teamed with another, and will play across the board from 2 opponents. Each team will then have a bag with a max 8 order dice between them. So if you have more than 8 units on your side, you'll have to prioritize which units you activate that turn. When you get to fewer than 8 units, you remove dice as normal.

This shouldn't be seen as a restriction or to encourage only taking a small number of order dice, it's just to make the game a bit more interesting and to encourage tactical discussion between players!

Each 2 man side gets a free veteran major and one offsider who gives leadership bonuses to both pleyer's models. This would be represented most thematically with each player providing a model for the command team.

Each table will be next to other tables whose missions will affect each other. It will be possible for units to move onto the next table.

Let me know if you'd like to come along, anyone who has played in Rising Fury is welcome.
