So I'm taking a fresh look at Deadzone again...

...and I'm now pretty tempted to put some money down on this. The rules seem interesting enough and the campaign system should allow for some necromunda-style action. On top of that, the factions look as though they could be pretty easily proxied with 40k armies;
Enforcers: IG, Tau or Marines
Plague: Tyranid/Chaos Cultists
Rebs: Tau, IG or Eldar
Marauders: Orks
Forge Fathers: Squats or Marines
Asteran: Necrons or Eldar

Alpha Rules: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/100 ... rd-may.pdf

So is anyone else interested? Or is Robotech still the flavour of the month? ;)

I'll be pledging though not for the system, I'm just after some scenery plus a couple of the models (Ripper suits / surveyer drones). :D

I'm looking at Strike Team too. Was originally thinking Recon plus the nice gaming mat. But that's then only $30 less than Strike Team, so it seems kind of silly not to fork out the money for a ton of extra stuff. Even though there's only two factions I'm really interested in.

Rathnard, what 2 teams are you interested in? And if your answer suits me :) perhaps I could purchasing one of the teams you are getting in the Strike Team that you don't like off you?

Enforcers and Plague. Mind you, the strike team pledge gives a fifth starter of your choice. So if you're after Enforcers or Plague then I could just make that my fifth starter.

Any chance you want to double up that order (except the survey drones) and share postage? Not sure if I want urban skirmish or urban battle yet...

Am I reading the scenery correctly- $100
= 4 battle zones
= 16 sprues (each battle zone is 4sprues)
Plus accessories sprues/s

?????

Based on my (somewhat horrific) maths equation type things.

1 Sprue = 6 full/half tiles+extras
1 Battlezone = 24 full tiles (4 sprues)
4 Battlezones = 96 full tiles (+32 odd extra tiles worth of barricades, supports and walkways + 2 accessories sprues).

So... $100 = 96 full tiles, 32 tiles worth of cool bits, 2 accessories sprues.

I am waiting to hear back how many sprues/battlezones a landing pad is...

Landing zone is PART of one battlezone.

So far 3 of 4 battlezones are unlocked, so $100 you could get 4 landing pads.....assuming my post above is correct

So a landing zone is one battlefield. I wasn't sure if that was the case, or to make it big and cool and stuff you would need 2 or something...

Sure thing.

I'll PM the details through closer to the date.
