Hi All

I will be running a 2000 point tournament at Good Games Cannington on the 9th of July so please keep the day free.

The players pack and all the details will follow very soon I just wanted to give as much notice for the day as possible.

I will also put the information up on the KOW Facebook page so if you haven't joined nows the chance.

Keep your eyes peeled for more info coming soon.

Thanks

Dan

Sounds like fun and thanks for organising this event Dan. I'd love to come along but won't be able to unfortunately as work will keep me away. Never mind, next time hopefully. Good luck with the event and I will look forward to seeing some pics once the dust has settled.

Sorry to hear Taubad you will definitely have to make the next one. :)

If I can get enough interest and people turning up for this one I would like to look at running one every 3 months so there is enough notice and painting time between events.

So please everyone get the word out and lets make this one a great day.

I will be both there and square!

Dan - any chance of giving the Clash of Kings comp pack a run? It seems to be where Mantic are likely going with their "official tournament rules pack" experiment.

Hi Gang

Sorry for the delay in the players pack my kids 5th birthday shenanigans have taken more time than planned.

I will be using the players pack from the recent Outpost tournament( with a few tweaks maybe) so a massive thanks to Adrian and the club for doing all the hard yards.

If we get a good turn out and enough interest I would like to run one every 3 months or so in conjunction with outpost and Gamagori.

Thanks for bearing with me

No problems. If you want a hand with anything I’m sure people will help out. If you need any extra terrain I can probably bring two to three tables worth.

If its of any help I have an python algorithm that a work colleague wrote for me that will automatically sort the round pairings for you. You just have to update a master excel sheet with each rounds results then the algorithm spits out a new sheet with the pairings for the next round (factoring in players that have already played).

Alternatively there is a free (I think) program called tournament overlord that was used at Cancon this year. It lets players input the results through their mobile phones and sends each rounds draw out to them……..basically the TO just got to watch the games and deal with any dinosaurs without smart phones.

Hay Boothy thanks i will definitely take you up on the programme help.

Just a heads up to all the players pack is live and I have been taking names and payments already.

My plan going ahead if we can get enough interest in this event is to run one every 3 months with a different theme for each one i.e-doubles / generalship only used for judging first place / hobby orientated and so on would love to hear some suggestions.
