Bad result for me, especially considering last year, but overall fairly happy. The venue was pretty decent with their food and pricing wasn't too bad for Perth.

The only really bad thing about Sandgroper as a whole this year, was that it won't be here next year. It was, for me, and I'm sure others as well, the one event I look forward to. The move back to six games suited better, but as for the way it was run... Happy with that as I am with the 7 previous that I attended.

Personally, I hope that Sandgroper merely slumbers, and we can awaken the beast in a few years...

Thanks to all involved in running this event and I would like to believe this isn't the end, just a hiatus of sorts.

I seem to have once again lived up to my submarine captain moniker by losing my first game only to win it by defeating the person who inflicted that loss.

Had a whalre of a time and definitely agree that 6 games is a better format

Congrats to Rob the Submariner!!! :)

Congrats to all the other winners! Thanks to my opponents this weekend who made the last Sandgroper a memorable one :)

Thanks to Dave for another Sandgroper Cup weekend!

I liked the venue, although the lack of a projector/screen took a little adjusting...the running of the event was great as always...

This event became my must attend event since i moved to Perth and its a little sad to see it come to an end. I would like to personally thank Drew, Dave and their little band of helpers over the years for all the hard work in putting together one of Australia's premier Blood Bowl events for the last 9 years. Its been awesome and I have met many great ppl at this event over the years and played some memorable games against some truly formidable coaches.

Now, I look forward to whatever event comes to replace Sandgroper.

Congrats to Rob, well played in the end.

Thanks so much to Dave for running the event, another fun weekend in a lovely location again.

Thanks to Drew, Dave, Jules, Bruno and Joel for the efforts in the past for making Sandgroper such a fun event to attend and a must do for Perth Bloodbowlers. It was gantastic we had something to hold our heads high about.

Too all my opponents over the weekend, thank you.

I'm looking forward to see how bloodbowl evolves in Perth now.

Big thanks to Dave and Drew for combining to run this for 9 years. As I expanded on (at length ;) ) at the Tourney it was certainly one of the Premier Events of Australia for a long time.

Huge thanks to all my opponents for some great games.

Feedback:
Venue was good. Space available was adequate for the size of the event. Lighting was better than the old venue latter in the day as well. :)

Prices were high (food and drink) but this is WA so kinda expected and may not have even registered on the locals :P . Food and Drinks were both great quality :)

Rule Set and bonus points as provided rewards Submaring (ie losing early and getting big wins on the rebound through the pack) vs defending the Top Table, where the games are likely much tighter. This is exacerbated by the Bottom Up draft where being lower down gives much better picks at the end of Day 1.

Prize support was good. i like to see lots of smaller prizes so most people get something :) .

Time for games is tight and without the need to play 7 rounds (prefer 7 rounds myself ;) :P ) the rounds could have been extended slightly?

All considered though I second (third? fourth? :P ) the hope that this is just a rest period for Sandgroper and/or that something even better comes along to take it place soon.

Long live BB in WA :)

Ok, whilst I've been super busy and apparently plagued by some kind of curse when it comes to these images I have finally managed to upload the Sandgroper 9 Gallery.

Here's the direct link http://wp.me/P53mrj-4W but as always it's available from the Sandgroper IX page as well.

Always fantastic fun and worth the trip up. I wish I could have attended more over the past few years. Was always on the top of my list for what I wanted to do through the year.

Venue was great, especially having the accomodation at the venue. 2 Thumbs up for me there.

There was beer, blood bowl and good people....thats a win in my book ;)
