The table numbers were basically used to determine the random prizes. At the beginning of each round Joel or I would roll a D16 3 times and those 3 table numbers got the random prizes to play for.

The logo for each Sandgroper is something that only the higher echelon of Commissioners are involved in. From that comes the choice of the miniature as well. We then go through the design process with the sculptor and artist both involved in the discussions to make sure it will work. The decision on next years logo and miniature was already made before this years event, that is how much planning and work goes into this. Later this year we will give a sneak peak at some of the artwork, and the other Commissioners get to find out what it is. We try not to tell Talanis to much though.

Thanks for all the feedback, keep it coming. :D

My 4th Sandgroper & can't fault any to date....freak'n great work guys! I hope this event keeps going for years to come. The organisers & players alike help generate a fantastic atmosphere with every game I played being great fun :D

12th with 4 wins and 3 loses was pretty awesome for me since the last BB game/event was SG5.....looks like the 2 weeks of intense PC Blood Bowl game play payed off :) ....that and the fact that everyone I played just wanted a fun game and were more than happy to make comments like "dude! if that Ghoul makes 2 dodge roles, a GFI, a handoff into 2 tackle zones to your Wight who needs to dodge & then GFI twice you could get a touch down"(scenario not exact due to mild consumption of pints).......and it works.....

Bring on SG8.....thinking something green as this was the third outing for the Graveyard Gropers.....time to return to the grave boys!

Thanks again Drew, Dave 7 the dude doing all the running about who's name I can't remember  .........KICK ASS GUYS!

Was a great event, first blood bowl in 2 years after leaving Perth. Such a fun two days and had some good opponents, playing some of them whom it was a very long time and some of them some un finished business. I was surprised to take out most cas; especially with my ranking

Another spectacular event.

Drew, David and Joel...awesome stuff guys. You guys have surpassed the previous event I attended once more. The work you guys put into this is astounding and speaking from experience, costly so kudos to you and the your other halfs for putting up with you during the "stressful" times.

To all my opponents, awesome fun as usual.

Day 1: memory already fading as I was pretty knackered after my exploits at the Pub the night before and going from 5:00am on Friday morning to Saturday night without sleep and driving to Perth in between.......

Round 1: Jamie French...and his damn Amazons :) Played Jamie in the first Ausbowl...and only just got him 1-0 than. Beat him again this time....just thought I would remind him of that after each round :) Always a pleasure to play against and lots of laughs.

Round 2: Rhett I believe the good mans name was from Kalgoorlie. Took a while to play, gave him a hand and took our time as he doesnt get to play much. My voodoo against damn Lizardmen continues....oh and add to that that beautiful play I set up to use Dump Off....than proceeded to forget to use it....cost me the game.

Round 3: Julian....and those damn Chaos Dwarves. This was another fun match with another familiar opponent. Always lots of laughs when playing Julian. To be honest, I can't really remember @#$% about this game.....brain was disappearing at this point. All I remember is laughing a lot....and a draw....and just rub salt into the wound.....I do believe I have beaten Julian before....but he still has to beat me....embarrassing. To be fair, I should have lost this game...not a draw.

Round 4: Rob...although he could have been round 3....again..brain...gone...memory...what?? Anyway FINALLY a result against Rob...just the wrong way. I believe we have played quite a few times in Sandgropers and Ausbowls for draws each and every time. This time my dice decided they where more tired than I was. Lots of double skulls as the first roll of a turn. And Robs dice where hot for armour rolls. I believe it was Nathan watching to learn how to play Dark Elves....let me reiterate, they do not usually spend most of the game face down...and can usually pick up the ball and dodge....but that is life. Was still a close game that had several moments of "turning momentum".

Day 2 - after a enjoyable night of chatting....SLEEP...GLORIOUS SLEEP. Although I still remember seeing moving objects in my vision as I drove back to the hotel.........

Round 5: Michael Watson and his gobbos. This was by FAR the most fun game of BB I have played in ....well......a bloody long time. My dice had not been favourable all tournament, medicore at best with glimpses of brilliance....and it continued to this game, even after swapping my dice out for the dice I got at Ausbowl this year. But the laughs. We where having so much fun I think we only have just started the second half when the 30 minute call came over. Joel introduced us to the "sportsmanship" dance that had us both jumping up and doing what must of looked like a spider monkey coming at ya. The incident referred to in Michaels post was followed by screams and profanity. Not to mention the placement of the ball for kick off in the second half with the claim "I havn't rolled a 6 all game".....I think we can guess what happened there. The continual display of those Damn Koala Skulls on my dice had the Koalas renamed as "Cute and Cuddly my ass the pox ridden rodents". This led to about 15 minutes of jokes about "tourists and those damn drop bears". In the end we started playing serious to catch up....and the Gobbos took it big time. I think one turn I removed 3-4 gobbos and the gobbos kept failing everything. Slaughter in the end. Unlucky as I was worried going into the second half. Awesome game, I am sure everyone at the venue (downstairs included) would have heard us :)

Round 6: Duro....and his dwarves. This game was weird. Just like opponent...ba dum ching. Duro was introduced to the sportsmanship dance and it was developed further. My famous "I havnt rolled a 6 all game" bit me again on an important kick off. I decided to go for the win instead of the draw...and to be honest, we both probably should have sewn the win up earlier....but thats Blood Bowl. Several times have a chance to turn the tide...but Nuffle...he just laughed. Another fun game with a familiar opponent...this was payback for infamous "Gimp Game".

Round 7: Steve....Pro Elfs. I love Pro Elfs so feared this team. He had enough Dodge to cause me issues....BUT...My dice showed up...and his certainly didn't. It was a blood bath. I was stalling removing elfs as I knew with 5 he could still roll me. In the end up 1-0, ball secured in the corner 1 sq from his endzone and 3 elfs left on the pitch. 2 surrounded on the opposite sideline and one mid field surrounded. Than it happened. I decided I would try for my first ever Pitch clear. Fouls started raining down. All game I broke armour with ease...until I went for the clear. The ref caught some guys, Steve dodges out, 2 dice my choice, POW...ONLY TIME I REMEMBER DUMP OFF ALL TOURNAMENT...results in a fumble, to the Catcher who blitzed who dodges out. Blitzer stands up and starts bolting down field...I am happy. Until he plays his Card which puts the ball 2 squares from my endzone...with a Blitzer running after it.....and is quicker than me. PANIC. I get him once...than get the ball...and JUST hold onto the win on the last turn as steve doesn't get the roll he needed...PHEW....we had a lot of laughs this game and I left my sportsmanship dance in the bag.....it was just too brutal. Truly enjoyable opponent.

All in all a GREAT lot of fun, even if I was half asleep for most of it.

So 4 Sandgropers (3,4,5 and 7) and 3 MVPS.......

Still trying to figure out how that is possible...I mean hell, the first one you guys didn't know me...I would have thought you had it figured by now :)

Next time bring the gimp ball - its ur good luck charm after all! :)

u also spent the entire first half of our game forgetting ur players actually had skills, like Dump Off & Guard...the game see-sawed all the way and ur dice did seem to like taunting u with a hint of success before snatching it all away from you!

thanks for a very fun game (yes finally payback for the Gimp Game) and for introducing me to the Sportsmanship Dance! You must go forth and preach its awesomeness to the Albany players! :D

Well done mate - that really is a testament to you! Also, I believe I managed to snag the one you didn't get. Which makes me feel good about it ;)
