I come before the assembled sages of Bloodbowl to ask this sacred question, what skill should I get next for Date?

He has managed to roll a normal skill which is either General or Strength and his next skill won't be for a while yet. He performs in whatever role I need him to fulfill as you can see from his stats, and I'm just wanted to ask for ideas and suggestions?

My thoughts at the moment are these:
Pro; Honestly if you know me you will know I love this skill and it does help with his versatility.
Strip Ball; Enhances his ability to be a ball retriever but not much beyond that.
Shadowing; Just try to get away from my Movement 10 guy I dare you.
Grab; Helps pinning down sidesteppers and may help with pitch control, which ties with Fend on the peasants and stand firm on the yeomen.

For three reasons I suggest this skill.

1. It's not on your list

2. It does come in handy quite a bit

3. Someone would eventually anyway

The skill you should pick:

Thick Skull.

I concur, with that being a fourth reason.

I think your options are shadowing and frenzy myself. a Movement 10 guy who clearly likes to beat on things can threaten a crowd surf from anywhere on the pitch. Sure he is str 3 with frenzy, but you have been playing enough to know how that works. That and with normal access to str I imagine you have enough guard with a season player like that on the roster.

Else shadowing is a really solid pick. Stand him next to someone, they are going to want to dodge away, if they don't you have a person to hit in the face repeatedly. Its like better tentacles.

Believe it or not but that is on the list of skills for the peasants.

I haven't played too much with Frenzy as I dislike the potential loss of control that could occur. For the piling on Blitzer Frenzy will be there but for Date, with the movement 10 I do use him for fast score or quick trip back to defend. I've just be very lucky on his armour/injury rolls. Although it is a good point about the ability to crowd surf.

Shadowing is really starting to look like it.

Strip ball for mine, makes him a better defender and limits who your opponent will risk giving the ball too. And Frenzy but I'm a sucker for frenzy.

Sprint for the 1 turn touchdown machine!

Seriously though, I think Shadowing would be an awesome skill for him :)
