As the dust settles, the fire’s rage and the ground forces still battle for ground supremacy, the battle for the skies above have fallen silent and all surviving aircraft have returned home for repair, re-arming, re-enforcement and preparation for the engagements soon to come.

10 individual Air Forces (covering every race) took to the skies over the island of Anga Hingus and after a hard night and day of fighting, the xenos invaders have overwhelmed the outnumbered forces of the Imperium and now have Air superiority.

In total 72 aircraft were destroyed and numerous others were in varying degrees of damage. Rescue missions continue day and night to recover those pilots that survived……..

Thanks the players that attended and made The Battle of Anga Hingus 2009 a great day! It wouldn’t have been a success without you.

War is all we know, peace is but a myth

Again, thanks for a great day guys.

I claimed 12 (out of 16 possible aircraft) of those 72 kills with the loss of only 7 (out of a possible 28 of my aircraft) throughout the day.

Oh, dont worry about recovering my pilots, they're servitors, plenty more where they came from!

Owens Dark Eldar were absolutely awesome and I was really really surprised I beat him for best painted. Pictures to follow later.

My pilots made it out safely except for the Vigilant who power dived into the planet's surface ( a specie crash by a support bomber AWAX) Total craft destroyed 9 claimed 5 real aircraft and a grot bomb.

Had an Ace of a Time and the 105th & 812th will be back to take part in any further outbreaks of hostilities in the sky.
