As we are almost a week overdue the 2 week time allowance for the turn, the remainder of the battles for Operation Perch are getting resolved via the slow process of online dice rollers and emails ;)

Allies attempted to break out of Juno Beach, but were repelled by the 2nd Panzerdivision, losing the 2nd Canadian in the process.

You can see the full sized map >> here <<

Two more battles to go for Operation Perch.

Remember anyone can jump in at any time to play one or more battles. Just get in contact with myself of Eckythump.

Edit: Spotted an error on the map. 2nd Canadian Armoured Brigade was captured and eliminated from the game on D-Day.

Cheers John Zak.

Sure thing John, I can make it.
Any time preference?

I suppose we can either finish off Operation Perch, or move onto round 3.

Well we didn’t get through all the battles via on-line dice rollers Friday, so one last game was played out using FoW, and the final battle by dice. All up half this round was “live” Flames of War games which is pretty decent given the low player count and absenteeism due to school holidays.

By the end of all the battles the field looked like this…

As the Allies were prevented from moving too many units off the beach they were limited to five new units which landed on the following beaches.

Gold Beach – 31 Tank Brigade
Juno Beach – 8 AGRA & 4th Armored Brigade
Sword Beach – 6th Airborne & 11 Armored Brigade

After reinforcements and strategic moves, and the start of Turn 3: Operation Epsom, the map looks like this…

Full sized images available here

Victory Points

Allies – 200
Axis – 340

Turn 3
Axis wins initiative for the first battle and launch an attack from Tilly-Sur Suelles (C-1) to plug the Caumont Gap (B-1)
